Bring a current valid U.S. driver’s license, proof of current full-coverage insurance (insurance card or insurance app) and accepted major credit card. Debit cards are not accepted as a form of payment at start of rental but can be used to pay at return. Check with your local participating retailer for details, terms and conditions on Subaru’s Just Drive rental car service.

If the additional driver is covered under the primary renter’s insurance and meets the minimum age requirements, they are typically allowed as an additional driver. Check with your local Subaru rental location for details.

Subaru Roadside Assistance is free and standard on every Subaru from model year 2000 forward and is available anytime during the 3-year/36,000-mile Subaru Limited Warranty, whichever comes first. Your Subaru Rental is also covered under Subaru Roadside Assistance for:

  • Towing to the nearest authorized Subaru retailer if you cannot safely drive your vehicle
  • Jump-start if your battery is dead
  • Gasoline delivery if you run out of gas
  • Flat tire change to install your spare
  • Emergency lockout service
  • National Subaru retailer locator service with phone numbers and location of the nearest retailer anywhere in the U.S. or Canada
